The Greater Memphis Chinese Community Association is presenting its first ever Dragon Boat Festival this Saturday, the 17th of June at Shelby Farms Park Hyde Lake. There will be food and music throughout the day with a program at 12 noon.
The festival will officially begin at 8:15 AM. There are 15 teams competing in the Dragon Boat race. We are elated to be a part of this historical event as members of the FILAM community will participate in the Dragon Boat race. Dr. Dinia Cruz will also present a Filipino Cultural Dance at the big stage at 12 noon.
Please come and support our friends from the Chinese community and help them make this festival a huge success. And cheer our kabayan who will be paddling the dragon boat on Hyde Lake!
